Glad to see you guys are asking questions! A lot of questions...princeystar wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2019 2:27 amAlright, a bunch of questions from me here.
1. Do the walkie talkies have batteries
2. Is any area on the planet really dusty/has unclear air at any time so that an air filter is needed? Does it function properly?
3. Do the thermal blankets have any holes or anything?
4. Once again - do they have holes or any similar damage?
5. Are they expired or do they contain anything anyone on the crew is allergic to? Is there a large amount of it? Does it contain proper nutritional value or is more food required on top of it?
6. Is it some kind of heavy duty duct tape that will withstand the planet and heavy duty repairs? (Is it flEX TAPE?)
7. Once again- do we have batteries? Is the planet dark enough that we need them? Do our space suits have any lights on them that can act as a replacement?
8. Do we have resources to put into the printer? Once we set up a power source, will we be able to power it? Will it use too much power? Will it malfunction easily? Does the planet have any mineral deposits or anything of the sorts so that we dont have to print our own metal? Is it too heavy to bring with us?
9. Is there a possibility that the ice will ever melt enough to need life vests? Or do our space suits function as life vests in this situation?
10. Is there anything on the planet or our equipment/supplies that would emit strong enough uv rays to require them?
11. Is the water completely filtered and will stay that way, or is there a chance that it can become contaminated once we get there? Will it freeze on the planet?
12. Once again- can we power it, is it safe to use (aka wont explode in our face when we try to heat something up)? can we use it to melt ice into safely drinkable water?
13. Is it required on top of the forementioned food packets? Is it contaminated? Will it
rot? Will it mess up our insides? Is it secretly a bomb? Is it too gross to eat? I dont trust the asparagus
14. Is the planet large enough that we need them to get around? Do we have fuel? Does any terrain only apply to earth? Is there anything else we need to know about these vehicles (ex. fuel efficiency)
15. Is it earth dollars? Will we have to bargain with aliens (and if so do they accept said currency)? Is this another joke? Will we need to set up an economy on the new planet that would require this cash? Will we need to pay people on earth? Is it payment for when and if we ever return?
anyways the thing im worried about most is something exploding and I feel like at least one of these will so uh final question here- will anything explode?
1) The walkie talkies to have batteries, and backup batteries with them
2) The planet has some dust here and there, but scientists are mostly worried about the differences between Earth air and Rad Hat air that could exist. Remember, not everything is known about this planet! The air filters are functioning.
3) The thermal blankets do not have any holes, or deformities in them. I wouldn't do that to you guys! Then again, I did kill like half of you with a nut allergy none of you knew about
4) No. ^^
5) I'm assuming we're talking about the dehydrated food now? They do not contain any food the crew is allergic to. There is enough to feed the entire crew for approximately 1 year. It has enough nutirtional valie for people to survive off of it
6) It is regular duct tape. It may or may not, may, have a duck print on it, though.
7) You have an entire cabinet full of batteries. Your suits have a few lights on them, some inside the helmet so you can see, and one on each arm. These lights are also battery operated. Again, not much is known about Rad Hat. You can assume that the lighting will be poor because of the distance from the sun, but you do not know for sure.
8) The printer comes with a set amount of iron (about 25 bars-ish) for you to use. It is solar powered as of right now. It won't use too much power, assuming you don't use it too much. It is a brand new type of printer, so hopefully it was made well, but you never know. The minerals on Rad Hat are plentiful but they have not been tested yet to ensure it is safe.
9) The ice might melt, it might not. There are possible situations in which this could occur. The spacesuits have some floatation things built in, but it's certainly not a replacement for a life vest.
10) Not right now, but you never know!
11) Your water that you are bringing will remain safe, assuming you store it indoors
12) The microwave? It won't explode in your faces. It could melt the ice if you so wanted it to
13) Yep, it is extra. The asparagus is not contaminated. Nothing will happen to your insides if you eat it. It will rot if you don't eat it fast enough. It depends what you say is gross, some people like pineapple on pizza, other don't
14) The planet is rather large, so use they are helpful. It is powered by an alternate power source that you will discover later, if you decide to bring the vehicles. But yes, you do have the power. Any terrain means any terrain, no matter the planet. They're spray painted hot pink
15) It is earth dollars. You won't have to bargain with any aliens yet. It's up to you to decide if it's a joke (what do you mean by another!? When have I ever tricked you!?). You don't need an economy right now. That's for you to find out, and me to secretly know!
16) Some things could explode, but I promise they will not explode in your faces this round
